Stream Smile
JCI Mandaue’s signature project, one which has consistently garnered Best Community Development awards since the project’s inception in 2005, is the JCI Mandaue Stream Smiles. Formerly known as E-smiles, Stream Smiles is a collaboration between JCI Mandaue and the principal corporate sponsor Stream Global Inc. (formerly known as E-telecare). The project aims to provide free cleft lip and palate operations to patients from all over Cebu City and its provinces. Some patients even come from as far as Bohol and Mindanao.
Now, in Stream Smiles’ 5th year, JCI Mandaue is proud to announce the 100th patient that has ever enjoyed the privilege of a free cleft lip or palate operation.
JCI Mandaue’s Stream Smiles’ main claim to fame is the fact that the surgeon, doctor, dentist, and anesthesiologist who form the main medical staff are all long-time JCI Mandaue members! The head surgeon is none other than president for 2007 JCI Member (now Senator) Dr. Alain Senerpida. The assisting doctor is president for 2010 Dr. Marc Achilles Phua. And the anesthesiologist is Dr. Rommel Tan. For cases that require them, Dr. Phil Anthony Phua, also a proud member of JCI Mandaue, performs dental procedures.
The Stream Smile (formerly known Operation eSmile) is a project brought forth by JCI Mandaue Past President Roy Sencio last 2005. Stream Smile is a free operation providing medical aid to children with a cleft lip and/or palate.
Our active dynamism, creativity and sense of social responsibility have truly made a big difference in those lives the this organization has touched. With Operation eSmile we have given the sparkling smile these kids deserves. We have given these kids opportunities and confidence among themselves.
This project has been running for five (5) long years already and this will continue for the incoming years.

Another year has come and gone. This is the time of the year where we gather together to again meet new challenges with new and old faces alike. As the incoming JCI Mandaue president of 2011, I wish to thank everyone for their hard work and continuing support. We have embarked on new projects and expanded on old ones. I trust everyone is ready to step up and lend a helping hand. Let’s be active young citizens and show everyone the dedication and strength of TEAM UNSTOPPABLE.
