LABYU LANGGA: A Child Health Care & Development Project
November 19, 2022
Barangay Banilad, Mandaue City
Healthcare has been one of JCI Mandaue’s focus post pandemic especially after the lack of access caused by the longstanding lockdowns these past years. After catering to women the month prior, it’s now the kids that mattered last Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Brgy. Banilad, Mandaue City.
As the chapter attempts to provide holistic care to the society’s basic unit, kids, ages 2-5 received wellness and dental check-ups, deworming plus vitamins, feeding and participated in fun activities. Equally important was the conduct of the interactive lecture on child healthcare and development for the mothers of the children-beneficiaries. These activities were enabled by the Labyu Langga Project under the chairmanship of the 2023 VP for Community Development, Atty. Darlon Serenio, co-chaired by his Director for Sustainable Initiatives, Dr. Niño Jessie Villanueva. According to the latter, the next phase will focus on the intervention to augment kids nutrition.
The chapter headed by 2022 President Judee Kwan, duly represented by the incoming 2023 President JM Bercede Yap alongside all the JCI Mandaue Merry Men in service, extend their never ending gratitude to the outpouring support of sponsors and partners in this initiative:
