FAQ

Membership FAQs

Who can join JCI Mandaue?
Men aged 18 to 40 — JCI Mandaue is an all-male chapter. You also don't need to live in Mandaue to join; we welcome young leaders from anywhere.
Is there a membership fee?
Yes — there are annual membership dues. The exact amount is shared during our orientation, called an Opportunity to Impact (OTI) session, so you'll have the full picture before you decide.
How do I become a member?
Submit the application form and our membership team will reach out and invite you to an Opportunity to Impact (OTI) session. There we walk you through everything — including Project YOU, the roadmap every new member begins with — and answer all your questions.
What is Project YOU?
Project YOU is JCI Mandaue's roadmap for every new member — your first journey with the chapter. It guides you from your very first project into leadership and growth opportunities, helping you discover your strengths, widen your network, and start creating real impact from day one. We walk through the full roadmap in your OTI session.
What's the time commitment?
Chapter meetings happen at least once a month, and the pace may vary depending on the project you choose to champion. It's built to fit around real life — our members are busy professionals too.
Who are your members?
Young men from all walks of life — businessmen, freelancers, and government and corporate employees. There's no single “type”; what we share is the drive to lead, serve, and grow.
I'm over 40 — can I still be involved?
Yes. We welcome associate members beyond 40 — you'd come on board through an Opportunity to Impact (OTI) activity. For qualified, endorsed, and exemplary individuals, a JCI Senate path is also available.
Are there other costs involved?
JCI Mandaue is a non-profit organization. Beyond dues, members typically cover their own event-attendance and logistics costs. Any funds we raise go to our beneficiaries or to defray project costs — never to the organization itself.
What is JCI, and how does JCI Mandaue fit in?
JCI Mandaue is a Local Organization of JCI Philippines, the national body of Junior Chamber International (JCI) — a global network of young active citizens in over 100 countries. Joining connects you locally, nationally, and worldwide.
