JCI Mandaue successfully launched its 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝟏𝟒𝟑 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦: 𝐇𝐞𝐊𝐚𝐒𝐢, 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐚, engaging more than 50 children in Purok Mahogany, Barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City in a fun-filled morning of storytelling, learning, and discovery.
The event was led by Project Chairperson and Program Head Reniel Flores, 2025 VP for Linkages, together with storyteller Kerwin Macopia, who brought the book “Maya and the Mangroves” to life. This inspiring story, written by JCI Mandaue’s VP for External Affairs, Jay Sanciangco, and the External Office team, aims to spark a love for learning and pride in our cultural heritage.
Through interactive storytelling sessions, we encouraged the children to embrace their roots, celebrate their community’s heritage, and understand their role in shaping a brighter future.
This meaningful initiative was made possible through the support of JCI Regatta, Stolt Tankers, Barangay Jagobiao Sangguniang Kabataan, and the tireless efforts of our dedicated JCI members and volunteers. Together, we continue to empower the next generation to take pride in their identity and community.
