On February 3rd, JCI Mandaue embarked on a journey filled with compassion and hope as we passionately organized Phase 2 of Adopt a Community: Paglaom sa Badjao (Hope for Badjao) Medical Mission at the Badjao Community of Cebu in Cebu City.
The impact of this mission transcended words, leaving both our hearts and souls deeply touched. We dedicated ourselves to serving those in need, screening over 94 patients who ranged from tender infants, childrens and their parents, all seeking solace and care.
During the mission, our dedicated members meticulously assessed vital signs, blood pressure, glucose levels, and conducted BMI assessments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s health status. Through these critical measurements, we aimed to provide not only immediate medical assistance but also a holistic approach to wellness.
Following the initial assessments, each patient received personalized, one-on-one consultations with our doctor brothers. These consultations provided a platform for open dialogue, allowing patients to express their concerns, ask questions, and receive expert medical advice tailored to their specific needs.
Moreover, we ensured that essential medicines were readily available to those requiring treatment, enabling us to address immediate health issues and alleviate suffering.
The tireless efforts of our volunteers, combined with the unwavering support of our sponsors and partners, made this mission possible. Together, we demonstrated the power of compassion and solidarity, proving that even in the face of adversity, hope prevails.
