Now in its second year, TaiOneDaue continues to make waves in its goal of Bridging Economies through Sustainable Technologies. After winning the Banaag Award for Best Interorganizational Collaboration Project at the JCI Philippines Visayas Quadro Awards last year, this project kicked off its activities with a series of educational sessions across major Taiwanese cities.
Day 1 began at the National Cheng Kung University Guiren Campus in Tainan, with *7 companies* attending the event. The companies represented included:
– First Metal Products Industrial Co. (insulation vents)
– ABIS Aerogel Co. (Silica Aerogel)
– Chung How Paint Factory (insulation paint)
– JUNEN Enterprise (sustainable metal mesh machinery)
– AIM Life Tech (nano energy-saving film)
– Join It Sustainable Tech (building-integrated photovoltaics)
– Oriental Green Energy Technology Inc. (green flooring)
ASDD Earl Thomas Corregidor III, TaiOneDaue’s project chairperson, was joined by Architect Elritz Gallo from the United Architects of the Philippines and Earl Tongol from Earl Tongol Consultancy, ITRI’s immediate partner in the Philippines. Together, they shared valuable insights on building sustainable networks in the Philippines, with a special focus on Cebu, the Queen City of the South. Their session sparked interest in Taiwanese businesses exploring opportunities in the tri-cities of Mandaue, Lapu-lapu, and Cebu, while also highlighting potential for collaborations.
This trip not only sparked interest in the upcoming TaiOneDaue 2.0 event in May 2025 but also secured commitments from Taiwanese companies to collaborate with JCI Mandaue’s adopted communities, bringing new opportunities for sustainable growth.
