Merry Galo is JCI Mandaue’s long-standing flagship child welfare initiative centered on gift-giving, experiences, and meaningful childhood support for marginalized and underserved children. While often associated with holiday giving, the heart of Merry Galo goes far beyond seasonal celebrations. It is a year-round commitment to ensuring that children facing hardship are still given the chance to experience joy, wonder, and the simple magic of being a child.
Over the years, Merry Galo has evolved into more than just distributing gifts. It has created unforgettable experiences through Christmas parties, theme park treats, theatre shows, educational outings, and gift packs or school bags, all designed to give children moments of happiness and belonging. Through partnerships with various civic groups and organizations each year, the program continues to carry different stories, advocacies, and themes that strengthen its impact and widen its reach. At its core, Merry Galo is built on one belief: that every child, regardless of circumstance, deserves a childhood filled with joy, hope, and memories worth holding on to.
