Project ALLY
Creating spaces where every identity is seen, every voice is valued, and every individual is empowered to live with pride, dignity, and purpose.
Project Ally is JCI Mandaue’s inclusive empowerment and advocacy initiative dedicated to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community through education, leadership, health, and social inclusion. Built on the principles of empowerment, advocacy, support, and education, the program exists to create safer and stronger spaces where individuals can embrace their identity, understand their rights, and access opportunities for personal and collective growth. It is a commitment to building a community where diversity is not only accepted, but celebrated.
At its core, Project Ally delivers meaningful programs on HIV awareness and health education, SOGIE (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression) sensitivity training, and discussions on human rights and social protection, helping strengthen awareness and reduce stigma. Beyond education, the initiative nurtures youth LGBTQIA+ leadership development, equipping emerging leaders with confidence, voice, and direction to become changemakers in their own communities. Through sports festivals, fellowship activities, and camaraderie-building programs, Project Ally fosters belonging and unity, while its active support for Mandaue City Pride March amplifies visibility and solidarity. The program also extends into livelihood support and economic empowerment, recognizing that true inclusion must also create pathways for independence and sustainability. More than a program, Project Ally is a movement of courage, equality, and hope, proving that when people are empowered to stand in their truth, communities become stronger for it.
